Stabbing at the Cornwall Center downtown mall in Regina.
Little bit of music news to start the day. “Big Wreck’s” new album will be released in Canada June 10th, July 15th for the USA. I plan on purchasing the actual CDs until they become a household name at least in North America.
Tomorrow “In Flames” will release the cover artwork for their release this year, on www.inflames.com ! Usually I need to hear something recorded first by a band, not the case with these guys or a at least 50% of the bands I’ve seen.
AC/DC is NOT breaking up, despite rumours from the band yesterday. Here I was thinking “YIPEE”, no more “I’ll ride the E string on bass and harmonize up top since I don’t own a 5 string bass”. I know that TONS of people like them and that’s fine. Early “Rush” and any “AC/DC” are among the reasons I don’t listen to “104.9 The Wolf Regina’s Rock Station”
Flatlined, 2 albums on iTunes. Very good guys who quit music when Wes, the lead singer went back to school. Not slagging him in the least. We got to play 3 shows with them. One of the benefits of being in a band, you get to meet and here other bands that nobody knows of. They even came to see me in the hospital when I first got sick. Mitch also gave them our parents basement to sleep in while on tour across Canada.
There’s another metal group called “Flatlined” on iTunes, so beware non-metal fans. You’ll want to check out “Guilty of…” and “Deaf Leading the Blind” on iTunes. I’m pretty sure that’s all they released. They’re from St. Catherines, Ontario. They had our “Chemical Horizon” album being played on the radio in Ontario. Their bass players name is Chris Fraser, that’s why I added my middle initial to my name on facebook. Some of his friends in Ontario kept sending me “friend requests” on facebook.
You’ll want to preview they’re stuff on iTunes. Not metal, just very good!
Unless you would like to hear them on the same song live. They can pull it off live as well.
What happens here during the day? I have my breakfast of fruit and sometimes 0% yogurt, then I do 100 crunches, 30 leg lifts on my back, flexing my abs underneath my keg. Get on my stomach, hands and knees to do yoga, followed by as many push ups (20 today) from my hands and feet. Come in here and write a blog. Then watch TV or movies. Sometimes do more push ups and crunches. Then I practice walking, up and down stairs or ride the exercise bike when Kim gets home from work. On random days, once a week I play cribbage with my mother or we drive out to the lake to see how much snow or ice is left. That’s my day!
