American Idol, The Voice, The X Factor, The Sing-off, and America’s Got Talent. 1st off why do singers go to AGT to compete against magicians, comedians, jugglers, dancers and whatever else there is there? Wouldn’t that make “winning” more difficult than going to a singing show? I like The Sing-off, it’s all acapella, they either sing as a choir or band with a lead vocalist. They can sing the instrument parts and sound very good on the show, and the “judges” actually give constructive feedback.
For the most part I don’t agree with these shows, I like The Voice and The Sing-off, not the rest of them though. In order from top to bottom I enjoy The Sing-off, The Voice, American Idol, AGT, The X Factor. I mostly watch the first 2 shows.
Harry Connick Jr. is one of the best judges who have ever been on 1 of these shows, he could possibly save American Idol. He’s usually right on point and says calls it when he sees it. He even told one guy during the open auditions that he was wasting Harry’s time, his time and everyone else’ time!
Despite the fact that I enjoy these shows, this isn’t the way people became famous before. Seems as though the second anybody turns of age, they say “I’m going straight to American Idol”. Why weren’t you famous before, why not try doing the bar circuit first like other musicians did before you? Go out and just sing/play your songs, if they’re good people will pay attention! Throw something on www.youtube.com see if it pans out for you? Get the feedback from the people who watch it?
CANCER. I’ve learned to accept the fact that I am in a wheelchair and have an iPatch over my left eye, that’s fine. I’ll bust my butt to walk again and speak properly again, those I can fix. My eye is the wild card. It’s a nerve problem that has to fix itself, oh well.
Right now is the best I can be, who knows what will happen in the future? Some people still have to accept my current state. Nothing is going to change over night for me. I exercise more than a lot of people do, because I have to, not because I want to. I have to deal with the now, not the past or the future. I’m alive! Be thankful for that, because right now that’s who I am. I wasn’t a jerk before and I’m not right now. I was a jerk to many people coming out of my rehabilitation program, why I don’t know? I’ve always been a negative person, but that was extreme. SORRY!
