Who? Bob Geldof! The guy that organized and sang with a choir of famous singers in the ’80s for “Live Aid”. I only have one album of his that I borrowed from my father. Bob Geldof is a bit calmer than Tom Petty even, it’s ’80s music and not the ’80s hair metal that I so despise. Lumped in with Metallica and Guns n’ Roses two bands I want nothing to do with, music is subjective. Van Halen wasn’t bad I guess.
The biggest singer he got to sing with for “Live Aid” was Peter Gabriel I think? Also an unknown Bono of U2 at the time! Here’s a few songs I have of his…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRxZAkTwNo4 I guess there was Sting and the dude from Duran Duran, Boy George, George Micheal, did I see Paul McCartney in there, etc.
Dad and I would listen to this or Ralph Benmergy when my father would drive me to piano lessons in the evenings. I think I was in grade 1 and 2 in elementary school or 2 & 3? I only took 2 years of piano. I did get a bronze medal for playing this at a recital….
