I swear that’s the best Iron Man of the 3 available.  Kim and I watched it Saturday night.  If you like action movies this is a show I would highly recommend!  I’ve never been big on action movies really just the odd one but this and the first Transformers movie with Shia LeBouf along with the Star Wars movies are fantastic!  I should add the Lord of the Rings series as well without the Hobbit.

Both of my teams lost today, Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 by the Tampa Bay Rays and I think the Saskatchewan Roughriders forgot they had a game today?  That’s 4 losses in a row for Saskatchewan any red flags telling them they’re doing something wrong?  Not if you asked the head coach!  The Toronto Blue Jays lost the final game of the season.  No surprise there.  They almost came back after Tampa scored 6 runs in the first inning.  So at least they gave it a good shot.  I’ll give the Blue Jays a pass on this year. Next year they  need to do infield and outfield practice, figure out how to lay down a bunt, and play as a team, instead of a bunch of highly paid individuals!  They didn’t play like a $118,000,000 team the Houston Astros finished in last place, right behind the Blue Jays and their team only had a $28,000,000 payroll.  You’d expect a $118,000,000 to be much better team.  They have all of these great players, who never have to practice anything but batting practice? There’s something wrong with that mentality?  You can’t take the field expecting to win with just home runs?  You need base hits, bunts, and sound defense.

Can’t remember anything about my cancer today, other than we get our wheelchair accessible condo in November and I’ll rarely be online until we get it.  We’ll be at my parents house tomorrow until our condo is ready.  Talk with Kim if you need to reach me.

Watch this!!!  Great video!

Soungarden I would give an A-.  Great usually but not all of the time.  They released the album “King Animal” November 12th 2012 and I liked it but lots of people didn’t like it.  That’s fine.  Everyone says “Superunknown” is their best album.  If you’ve ever liked Soundgarden check out the album before “Superunknown”, “Badmotorfinger”. “Superunknown” is the album they got famous for, but I prefer “Badmotorfinger” with most of my favourite Soundgarden songs on it.. Johnny Cash covered/ruined this song.

Then I see this at the start of most videos?

I used to see this when it was about to be released and afterwards.  I already owned it afterwards.

Why I don’t travel outside of Canada. Is some one watching behind me with a gun or bomb?  I’m not saying Canada’s perfect, but I assume it’s among one of the safest place’s to be.

Leave Bieber alone!  I don’t like his music either.  What were you doing when you were in your early 20s, late teens?

I may have posted this before, kids covering TOOL.

That’s what Kim is watching right now, so not my style!  She recorded it on our PVR.  “Good thing” I recorded the football game with an extra hour past the scheduled time. Yes, this album is on my iPod!

Our condo and what’s happening.  We leave this house on Monday to live at my parents house until our condo is ready in mid-late November.  I’ll rarely pop up and write a blog or respond to any email or facebook message.  We got to see our condo last Monday.  Drywall was up, and there will be enough room for my wheelchair!  The main reason we’re moving.  I didn’t smash my knuckles on anything when we went to look at it.  Nice area, which was my only concern.  Kim and my parents friend, Susan an interior designer, picked out the colours for the paint and laminate flooring throughout our suite.

REALLY?  There are still people against gay marriage?  You don’t have to be gay to support gay marriage!

I’ve known Vanessa since elementary school.  Here’s a HILARIOUS video of her baby laughing hysterically.

Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Mike Watt all together in ’95 on Jon Stewart.  Foo Fighters first tour.

Them Crooked Vultures.  Dave Grohl on drums, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) on bass, and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) singer/guitarist, Chris Goss (producer) helping on guitar.   What a rhythm section!

Really, “Welcome to the Jungle” from 1987?  I hear this at every home Rider game!  I’ve never been a fan of GNR or Slash.  Ian Thornley or Myles Kennedy could probably help him do something original. I won’t rip anybody famous since there are millions of fans out there and who am I to judge someone with millions of fans?

Don’t be afraid of RUSH on the radio. You OK?  I’ll walk you through this.  Hold my hand and Uncle Chris assures you everything will be OK.  What do you hear on the radio? “Tom Sawyer”, “Fly by Night” and “Closer to the Heart”. Those were the only 3 songs by RUSH I ever heard on the radio and I really didn’t like them.  Why?  “Tom Sawyer” released in 1981, “Closer to the Heart””  released 1977  and “Fly by Night” released 1975.  The newer albums aren’t mixed with Geddy Lee’s voice way out front.  They’re mixed properly!  Like these few songs. Remember Uncle Chris wont steer you into any harm, I promise! from my favourite album of theirs “Snakes and Arrows” from the latest album “Clockwork Angels”

You OK? from the “Test for Echo” album from the “Vapor Trails” album

There’s some progressive rock I never expected to like!

I’ll be off line for the better part of at least 1.5 months after Monday!

I just messaged my sister-in-law to see if she could get a hold of James’ RUSH collection of CDs.

Thursday, September 26th

Brewster went to the vet on Tuesday, a few shots, worm pills, and some anti depressants.  The anti depressants are for his anxiety when Kim & I leave the house.  He freaks out and either pees or poops when we leave together.  Even with our couch and love seat gone he stands on his hind legs to try and see out the window when Kim leaves.  He won’t do much during the day when I’m around or Kim’s around, but sleep and get a burst of energy before bed and wants to play.

The anxiety pills are working though! He didn’t even flinch at the storm today like he usually does.  He usually shakes violently and paces or try’s to get in the bath tub? He hasn’t grown he’s still 11.5lbs, so if anyone comes over don’t pet him or even look at him until you’re settled.  Word for word from the vet.

Why are there record stores closing everywhere?  Lot’s of people own record players still and will buy LPs.  Artists still release LPs so why not keep them available? Cassettes too!  Sure they’re more difficult to put on iTunes so you can carry a billion songs with you, but if people want to pay for a vinyl print of whatever album, let them.  I own a record player and we have quite a few albums on vinyl, I didn’t purchase any of them. Grandpa Fraser got them at a few garage sales, he asked Kim and I to go through them and take whatever we wanted, a long time ago.  I can’t remember who, but a friend of my parents had a large collection that were warped from water damage, and we got to chose what we wanted as well.  Kim tells me they’re in good shape now.  So we have the vinyl of some big name albums “Hysteria” by Def Leperd, “The Joshua Tree” by U2, “Licensed to Ill” by the Beastie Boys, “Led Zeppelin II”, and a few others.

The Matthew Good Band! Not just Matthew Good as a solo artist.  I’m not a fan of his solo stuff.  The band has 4 albums out and an EP.  No one really knows about the EP “Raygun” or the album “Last of the Ghetto Astronauts”, but of course I have both on CD!  He had a copy of “Lo-Fi B-Sides” , I’ve never heard it and his copy of it was stolen!  If you can dig it up,  it would be a collector’s item. The Band blew up on their second full length release “Underdogs” with this single 90s Canadian rock, there’s the rock songs and the slower softer songs (F-BOMB)  NOT FOR KIDS! At the end of the song.  This song was very popular in Canada.  My first band in 2000 played this Safe for all ages!  The bands last release was good as well, “The Audio of Being” with this song as the first single. Also safe for kids!

Help out on this cause too, if you can!

Yes, I am biased!  Tied as my favourite band with Big Wreck!  No I don’t like every song they play.  The first 3 albums were great for me, with the exception of this song the 2nd song on the 3rd album.

Then the 4th album was released, October 22nd 2002.  That’s the first birthday of Kim’s with us dating.  The first 4 songs were good and every ending song on every album is decent, the rest of the album is not so great. The 5th (double disc) album was released between Saturday, May 7th, 2005 (the day we were married)-(November 25th 2005) our possession date for this house.  It was 10 songs on each CD.  10 “rock” songs and 10 acoustic songs on the 2nd CD.  I only liked 4/10 on the “rock” album, the 1st 3 and the last track.  The acoustic album I could put on and not skip a song, I loved it, still do.  The 6th album was a blend of rock and acoustic songs. Not bad but not great.  After that they released a Greatest Hits album, along with a bonus DVD of the videos.  The 6th album was released, Kim & I had tickets to see them 2 weeks after I was struck with brain cancer.  My parents used our tickets and cried the entire time.  I was sleeping 23 hours/day or throwing up 5 times/day.

“Wasting Light” was released in 2011, while I was in the WRC.    The 7th studio album was really good.  We drove to Calgary, in late October2011 to see them, I was still in the WRC but I was doing much better.  They played for almost 3 hours and it still felt like 20 minutes had past.  We got there at 6pm and one of the 2 opening bands had started, then came the 2nd group.  In total the first two bands took up 3 hours then Foo Fighters played for 3 hours.  It was a little after midnight when we got to our vehicle.  They played 6 or 7 songs off of the new album of 11 songs.  Then about 3 songs from each album.  Not everyone’s taste in music but it’s spot on with me!

Really, the “Greatest Country in the world” is considering an assault on Syria?

I’m more than excited for “Fortress” by Alter Bridge to be released in October.  Here’s an interview with lead guitar player, Mark Tremonti.
